Poly (oxy-1,2-ethanediyl), alpha dodecyl omega hydroxy

It is non-ionic surfactant which is used for making polymer emulsions, emulsion paint etc. It stabilizes the emulsion, which means the water insoluble materials can be dispersed to transparent dispersion (solution) by adding a small amount only. The hydroxyl group presence indicates that it is non-ionic surfactant. It is added along with other agents in the beginning. Dosage is 0.1 to 3% by weight.
